Singer Justin Bieber's new single "What Do You Mean?" got 21 million streams on Spotify in the first 5 days, beating One Direction record of 20 million in its debut week.

After a long wait of four weeks, the single was finally released taking the charts by storm. At this rate, it is set to take top slot in UK, and dethrone Fight Song by Rachel Platten to number two slot.

His "Wait a minute" with Tyga, rose as high as No. 2 in June 2014, while "Home to Mama" duet with Cody Simpson and "Where are U Now" reached No. 3. In the last two years.

Justin achieved this score just days after he got "authentically" emotional and broke down crying while singing the song onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards 2015 on August 30.

At the performance night, he was quoted as saying, "Life is a journey, sometimes a battle, full of the unexpected. Sometimes we focus on the destination and forget to focus on the journey."

At the Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, he explained his tears candidly, and confessed it all without holding anything back:

"It was so overwhelming," said Bieber. "I missed some cues so I was a bit disappointed about that. But just the support... I didn't expect them to support me in the way they did. Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed."

"I worked so hard at the album. I've worked so hard at just becoming the man that I want to become and then stepping into situations [where] you can't help but feel judged. What was so special about the emotional moment, it was authentic and real. I was just wanting it so bad," he continued.

The track is set to be a huge success globally, with over 150,000 copies sold in the first two days. It is expected that the sales from the song may surpass One Direction, which sold about 350,000 copies in its first week.

The song "What Do You Mean" is part of Justin's new album set to release on November 13.
