"The Walking Dead" season 6 will put lead characters Rick and Morgan in a compromising situation, particularly Morgan, who has a lot to contemplate with after finding Rick in a horrifying position.

Lennie James, the actor who portrays Morgan spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the inner turmoil currently being faced by his character.

"I think Morgan's biggest fear about Rick is that Rick is where Morgan used to be. I mean that's obvious, really, and he knows that mindset, and he knows that world, and he knows what that kind of does to you, and what it potentially could do to Rick, but also what it could do to the people around him," he said.

Morgan is in a different place than people saw him last in season 3, James added, and the two characters will be dealing with the questions, "Where are you?" and "What's going on?"

"One of the things that's really important in the dynamic between Rick and Morgan is Rick is the last person on earth who knows who Morgan is. And despite Rick's long relationship with the group and all the people there, Morgan is the guy who knew him at the beginning. So, they have a bond - whether they like it or not - and they have to figure that out and that's kind of what happens through certainly the first part of season 6," he further said.

Since he is so used to being on his own, Morgan would have some issues to conquer now that he has joined Rick's team. James noted that it's going to be really difficult for Morgan, who has only ever been with a group of two at the most.

"It was him and his son, and obviously as fans of the show know, between season 3 at least and where we are now - he's spent a huge amount of time on his own. This is the first time he's going to be part of a group," he said.

Plus, Morgan cannot help but question if he is in the right place. He is uncertain if it's good for him to be with a large group of people, or if being with them would only "force him back into the corner."

"All the things that the group went through Morgan is kind of going through," said James. "It might be sensory overload for him and he's been to the darkest corner of his psyche, and he's fought his way out, and he's not sure whether being amongst these people is a good thing."
