The same day that British actress and UN ambassadress for gender equality Emma Watson wrapped up production for "Beauty and the Beast" was the same day that she celebrated 15 years since being cast as Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" series - the role that catapulted her acting career.

Watson looked back on August 21 during her interview with Radio Times and the actress said, "It's so weird. It's one of those full circle moments as I did my last day on 'Beauty and the Beast' as Belle and I was driving home and saw stuff reminding me that it was fifteen years to the day that I was cast as Hermione."

"It's so crazy," she further said. "It's more than half of my life."

Because of her acting skills, Watson managed to land more roles after "Harry Potter," including "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," "Regression," and "Noah," among many others.

For "Beauty and the Beast," everybody thought that casting Watson as Belle was a natural choice. But Watson said that it's not always easy choosing the right roles.

"Sometimes I'm really baffled about what to do about a certain project... the right director, right cast, enough money to get it made properly - all of these disparate elements have to arrive at the same perfect moment. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. It's a bit iffy," she said.

"It always feels like a gamble," the young actress added. "Sometimes you'll get all of the perfect elements in place and it still won't be a good movie. Or you think it might be a disaster and it turns out really well."

This was actually her thought process behind her upcoming thriller film "Regression," which also stars Ethan Hawke. The film is about a father who can't seem to remember committing a crime he has been accused of.

"On paper, genuinely, I was like 'What on earth?'" she said when she first read the script.

But after talking about it with director Alejandro Amenábar, who was also the director of Nicole Kidman's thriller "The Others," Watson felt really confident about how the movie would turn out.

"It's one of those awesome films you think you know what it'll be and then it's something completely different," she said.

Aside from acting, Watson is also working on getting her yoga instructor's certification. She even joked that she would already have yoga DVD ready for Christmas.
