If there is one person who understands what it's like to grow up amidst the dangers and temptations of Hollywood, then it would be "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe.

At only 11 years old, the British local was thrust into the limelight as The Boy Who Lived, and after making eight "Harry Potter" films, he ventured further with different acting roles.

Radcliffe also understands how difficult it is to move past his role as Harry Potter, especially since many people still associate him with it. Now that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released soon, Radcliffe has some pretty good advice for newbies Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, who will undoubtedly be known throughout the world for the roles they will portray in the franchise.

"Just enjoy it! There's some weird thing that I think people feel about franchises, where they're like, 'You do that so you can do other cool work.' - franchises are fun!" Radcliffe told ET. "You get to do stuff in franchises that you don't get to do when you're doing little indie movies. You get to do stunt sequences and crazy action stuff. It's a lot of fun!"

He has already resigned to the fact that he will always be called "Harry Potter" because die-hard fans are now introducing the movies to their own children.

"It feels like I get recognized more now," he shared. "Here's what's scary: If you were 14 when the first film came out, you'd now be almost in your 30s and could well have a child under 10 whom you're now introducing to Harry Potter. We're already getting the next generation. That's just bizarre. It's never going away."

Meanwhile, Radcliffe also discussed the other side of Hollywood, where child stars often get depressed and succumb to temptations such as booze and drugs.

The actor said that he probably would have went the same direction if his parents had not raised him well.

"Everyone always seems amazed that I'm not a raging monster as a human being from growing up in the industry so young," said Radcliffe. "The only people that aren't amazed by that are people who know my parents because, I'm there son so it makes sense that I would turn out okay. I owe them my sanity and they're amazing."

Radcliffe will next be seen in the movie "Victor Frankenstein" as Igor together with James McAvoy, who plays the title character.

"I just found it highly original, and also the relationship between Victor and Igor is such an exciting one," the 26-year-old actor said about the movie.

"Victor Frankenstein" will be released on November 25, 2015.
