A new photo from the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has been released online and features a detailed look at Adam Driver's Kylo Ren.

The actor recently discussed about his dark character, sharing that he considers Kylo Ren as more of a dutiful enthusiast than a downright antagonist.

"When they think of their actions as morally justified," Driver said. "It makes them dangerous and unpredictable. There's no level they won't go to to accomplish what they're after. I never thought of the character as an evil person."

Driver's statement was released by Empire in celebration of the recently unveiled photo of Kylo Ren as he is flanked by a pair of Stormtroopers as what seems to be the Jakku marketplace erupts in flames in the background.

Kylo Ren has become the subject of multiple fan theories, as many fans consider the character to be more associated with the original 'Star Wars' story than what the new teasers and posters have been suggesting.

While some fans think that he is one of the Skywalker children who chose to join the Dark Side, others believe he could actually be Luke Skywalker himself.

In a "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' TV spot released by ABC, its tagline "every generation has a story" suggests that the movie's two young lead characters could possibly related to well-known characters from the saga's previous installments.

A new family bond between Kylo Ren and female lead Rey (Daisy Ridley) might be revealed in the upcoming movie, suggesting that the duo could be brother and sister. They are even speculated to be the children of either Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) or General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford).

What remains certain is that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is set three decades after the events of "Return of the Jedi,' and puts forward a new generation of heroes and villains as well as the return of well-loved smugglers, royalties, and Jedi.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 18 and will be followed by "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' on Dec. 16, 2016. Its sequel, "Star Wars: Episode VIII,' will be released on May 26, 2017 while the Han Solo anthology film is expected to hit cinemas on May 25, 2018.

No release dates have been confirmed for "Star Wars: Episode IX' or for the third anthology film. However, it has been confirmed that "Jurassic World' helmer Colin Trevorrow will be taking on directorial duties for the third Saga chapter.
