If there is one person who understands full well what Daisy Ridley from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will experience once the highly-anticipated sci-fi flick is released, then it's none other than child star Emma Watson, who portrayed the bookish Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" franchise.

When the two met recently in London's Covent Garden, 23-year-old Ridley took the opportunity to ask Watson how she coped with her sudden fame.

"I asked her some stuff that I hadn't been able to ask (co-stars) Harrison (Ford) and Carrie (Fisher)," Ridley shared with the Daily Mail UK. "She said: 'Be yourself!' We were out in Covent Garden, and it was so chill - and she was so sweet!"

During that meeting, the two girls also talked about Watson's work to promote feminism and gender equality with the United Nations. Watson is currently promoting the HeForShe gender equality campaign, and Ridley was simply blown away by her work.

"She's doing amazing things... and I am not," she reflected. "I would love to be able to do so many other things as well, but I'd love to have a great career as an actress."

Ridley also revealed that she was watching a play in London's West End when she first received news that she will be joining the "Star Wars" franchise.

Director J.J. Abrams called her up and she was so excited by the news that she ended up spending most of the performance in the foyer.

"I remember I could hear the play going on inside," she recalled. "Obviously, something monumental had happened in my life, but no one else knew. It was weird. I saw the rest of the play and then went home on the Tube (subway)."

She did not even share the big news with her theater companion, and only told it to her parents and two sisters before she went to her first cast meeting.

Ridley then shared her hilarious first encounter with veteran actor Harrison Ford.

"The director J.J. introduced him (Ford) to me... I said: 'Oh my God! My mum loves you!' and he was like: 'Really?' And I realized it was something that made him feel older," she shared.

In the "Star Wars" franchise, Ford portrays Han Solo, and other stars who will be back to reprise their roles are Carrie Fisher as Princess (General) Leia and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released on December 18, 2015.
