Perhaps the issue of abortion was never more fervently discussed than in the year 2013, and some states have passed laws legalizing abortion, while other more conservative states maintained their emphasis on the protection of unborn human lives.

After much research, Americans United Life (AUL) announced the top states that contributed the most in protecting lives and even women's rights as Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana and so on and so forth. On the flip side, the states that were most active in legalizing abortion were areas such as Washington and California.

The conflict is centered around not only whether an unborn baby should be considered a human being with rights, but also whether abortion industries which often do not have sufficient medical training should be authorized to carry out the procedures of abortion. In regions such as California, one can already choose to have their babies removed though such "abortion industries". States focusing on life protection are endeavoring to protect pregnant women from uncertified and perhaps dangerous surgical procedures.

Such conflict shows that the issue of abortion is no longer merely a spiritual warfare but also a huge social issue where people's rights and lives are at stake.
