'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Major Spoilers: Main Questions About Han Solo's Possible Death, Return of Ewoks and More Answered

Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens

As the premiere date of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' approaches and more teaser trailers are being released, fans have caught glimpses of old and new characters alike, sparking speculations about the force reawakening, the fall of the Galactic Empire and even the possible death of fan-favorite Han Solo.

Set three decades after the "Return of the Jedi,' "The Force Awakens' will follow the story of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker as they return for more action. They will be joined by new characters, including stormtrooper Finn and scavenger Rey.

One of the main questions that have fans speculating is the reason behind the reawakening of the force.

"There has been an awakening"¦ The dark side and the light," one trailer says. Luke Skywalker, the last remaining Jedi, has been out of action and can be heard saying, "The Force is strong in my family. My father has it... I have it... My sister has it... You have that power too."

In relation, Finn has already been rumored to have been carrying Anakin Skywalker's missing lightsaber, fueling rumors that he could be on a mission to have it returned to either Luke or Leia. This also led to speculations that Finn could have the force, although other characters who could possibly be more "sensitive" to the force include Rey, General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o).

A popular speculation why Finn is being recognized as a key character is that he might be under the care and protection of the mysterious Captain Phasma, played by 'Game of Thrones' actress, Gwendoline Christie.

"This would explain why she takes interest more in where he is than other individual Stormtroopers," Starwars7news stated. "So if that's the case, Finn ditching the army is most likely seen as an extremely dire situation by the First Order, and Captain Phasma would have a personal reason to lead a manhunt against her former pupil."

As for the villain Kylo Ren, he is expected to be "full of the dark force." Even his toy version is out to triumph over the resistance as well as the last remaining Jedi.

Meanwhile, lineage rumors have also graced the headlines, which include General Hux possibly being Luke's son and could be behind the reawakening of the force. As for Rey, whose second name is unknown, has also been speculated to be the daughter of Princess Leia and Han Solo.

When it comes to the events that took place since the fall of the Galactic Empire, it has often been reported that a new enemy named the First Order has already been in place. Finn will supposedly be associated with a group who call themselves The Resistance while Ren will be a member of the Knights of Ren.

Such villain is also expected to be the reason behind Han Solo's death, which has not yet been confirmed but has already been speculated due to a scene filmed at Pinewoof Studios in which the Millennium Falcon captain battles it out with Ren, who "silences the conversation forever."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 17.
