'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Teaser: Bradley Coopers Says He Knows "Nothing" About Sequel

Bradley Cooper

American actor Bradley Cooper is quite the modest guy. After winning an MTV award for his role as America's most lethal sniper Chris Kyle in American Sniper, he said that "fans might have been disappointed" since he was proclaimed the winner as compared to other Hollywood bigwigs and hot newcomers Ansel Elgort, Channing Tatum, Chris Pratt, and Miles Teller.

But fans certainly were not disappointed. After all, the MTV Awards is a fan-voted show. But aside from recognizing his role in American Sniper, fans are pretty curious what's in store for his character Rocket Raccoon in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, and are demanding some details from Cooper.

However, Cooper said that director James Gunn wants to keep things under wraps and the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 movie is currently a top secret project.

"I know nothing. No, nothing. Literally," Cooper told MTV News. "Just that I hope Rocket's in it. I don't know anything, which is part of the fun."

The actor has decided to remain mum about his upcoming directorial project as well, only saying that "We'll see." As for the new movie Joy, which would reunite him with Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell and work wife Jennifer Lawrence (the two have worked together in Serena and American Hustle), Cooper can only say that working with the director is "incredible."

"I mean, you just go there and you remember what it's like to work with him. He is the best. He's just the best," he said.

For the meantime, Cooper is still in cloud nine over the MTV Awards. "It was crazy," he described. "I saw Cara Delevingne, who's fantastic, and the winner of Best Kiss, Shailene Woodley, was there. And then I was honored enough to win Best Male Performance up against some pretty heavy hitters."

Cooper said that the award he has received is something that he truly appreciates and cherishes, and he considers it quite the milestone in his acting career.

"Honestly, it means everything," he said. Cooper even recalled several MTV Movie Awards experiences he had in the past, where he was awarded Best Male Performance a few years back for his role in Silver Linings Playbook, where he gave Sandra Bullock a life time achievement award, and where he and his The Hangover buddies and co-stars were also given awards.

"The fact that MTV recognizes what we're doing is awesome," he said.
