‘Modern Family’ Season 6 Preview: Finale Episode 144 “American Skyper”

Three families' lives are intertwined in the suburbs through marriages, children, and friendships. The Pritchetts, Dunphys, and Tuckers are all a part of one large interracial extended family. The family members navigate through the upsides and downsides of everyday life in a hilarious, yet heart-warming television series. "Modern Family' Season 6 Episode 144 "American Skyper" airs on Wednesday, May 20 at 9|8c on ABC.

Jay is a father of four children. His household is taken care of by an over-enthusiastic male nanny named Andy. Manny and Joe are kids from his second marriage with Gloria, a Colombian woman with a big personality and an accent. Claire and Mitchell are his grown up kids from his first marriage. Claire and Mitchell each have their own families. Claire is married to Phil Dunphy, a passionate real estate mogul. Their three kids are Haley, Alex, and Luke. Mitchell, a lawyer is married to Cam and together they raise Lily, a daughter they adopted from Vietnam.

In "American Skyper," Alex has a graduation party at Jay and Gloria's house. All of her family members, including Gloria's cousin is there except for Phil. Phil is away on a business trip at Seattle, Washington and gets stuck there. He finds a way to congratulate Alex on Skype, the video chat app. Claire wants to get Alex the perfect graduation party and over-stresses herself. Mitchell attempts to avoid Cam on the topic of being fired from his job. Gloria's cousin gets on Jay's nerves because he has overstayed his welcome. Andy's long-distance girlfriend Beth visits Andy, which causes major tension between him and Haley.
