It's time to start singing with glee - both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will be reprising their roles in "Pitch Perfect 3"!

Shortly after "Pitch Perfect 2" made waves in cinemas, Universal has announced that there will be another "Pitch Perfect" movie in the works, although back then the cast remains unknown, according to Empire Online.

Will they bring in new actresses? Will they continue on with the story of the Barden Bellas, given the fact that the girls have already graduated?

Kay Cannon is back to write the script, which we now know for certain will involve Kendrick's Beca and Wilson's Fat Amy. As for Elizabeth Banks, who both directed and starred in "Pitch Perfect 2," it's unclear yet whether or not she will oversee "Pitch Perfect 3" as well.

In an earlier interview, Banks said that they do not know where the franchise's road will take them, but she is certain "whatever we do next, I think it would really be based on the fan's reaction, making it organic."

"Pitch Perfect 2" is a considerable success since it has now surpassed the $259.7 million mark globally, so now the only question is how fast the studio, cast, and crew can get back to work and create another film.

"Pitch Perfect 3" has already been slated for release on July 21, 2017.

Earlier, Banks has reportedly been recruited by Universal to direct the new young adult novel "Red Queen" written by Victoria Aveyard.

"Red Queen" takes place in a fictional world where people are divided based on the color of their blood - ordinary people have regular red blood, while the elite have silver blood and supernatural abilities.

The story's lead character is Mare, a 17-year-old girl who makes ends meet by stealing things in their rural village, but things changed when she manages to save the life of one of the elites from the royal court.

Because of this, she was presented to the king and queen - and then starts manifesting powers she never knew she had! To keep things at bay, the king decides to invent a backstory for her, and has her prepared to marry one of his sons.

Mare isn't exactly thrilled about becoming part of the silver community, especially since she has been planning a rebellion against them with the red community.

The script has already been written by "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" writer Gennifer Hutchison.
