Beyoncé, Chris Brown, "Empire' cast, and Nicki Minaj won big at the 2015 Road to the BET Awards on Sunday, June 28. The awards celebrate achievements in entertainment made by African American celebrities and minorities in music, television, film, sports, and videos. Winners were awarded the plated steel and black crystal BET Award Trophy at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Janet Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and Tom Joyner were the 2015 honorees.

The night was hosted by "Black-ish' actor Anthony Anderson and actress Tracee Ellis Ross. Guest performances were made by The Weeknd, Fetty Wap, Ciara, cast of "Empire,' Silento, Jason Derulo, Donnie McClurkin, Tinashe, Ne-Yo, Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke, Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monae, Meek Mill, E-40, Gary Clark Jr., Tori Kelly, Omarion, and Anthony Hamilton.
