It looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger is once again making his fans and followers tear up as he continues to show his soft side. After a Reddit user, called bizzjay, shared to the online community how he and his father, a 72-year-old man suffering from a serious illness, bonded over "Terminator Genisys," no one expected the Austrian actor himself to actually respond to the post.

According to Entertainment Tonight, "Terminator" had been the movie that forged a bond between the ailing father and his son. Hence, the release of "Terminator Genisys" prompted the now 30-year-old son to seek ways to be with his father and watch the film together to honor their tradition of appreciating Schwarzenegger's iconic action movie despite the former's illness.

"We both loved it and shared some great conversations with those movies," bizzjay wrote. The Puerto Rico resident added, "My dad loved Arnold's catchphrase "I'll be back" and he would just rewind it every time." To give readers a glimpse of his father's current situation, he wrote, "Fast forward to January this year, I noticed my dad wasn't acting like himself. He's 72 and all his life always had mild mental problems (dementia and schizophrenia) that were always under control, but in January of this year, it went from bad to worse."

In celebration of his 30th birthday, the Reddit user then decided to take his dad to the movies - just like the good old days. He shared, "So, if you've seen the movie, you know throughout the movie "Pops" tries to smile and just ends up looking funny, well during one of the last scenes, Pops smiles at Kyle and Sarah after they kiss, I looked at my dad and he has this huge smile on his face when he saw Arnold smiling...that's when I lost it and began to cry (out of joy), I haven't seen that genuine smile for so long. It was literally the best birthday present I could ever get."

This story later on caught the attention of the "Terminator Genisys" star who then took it upon himself to further add to the joy felt by the family during this rare time. Schwarzenegger said, "Wow. I'm in Korea on a whirlwind tour but you stopped me in my tracks." The actor added, "This is so touching. Thank you for sharing. I'd like to say "this is why I do this" but you should know it was you who made your father smile. It was your presence and caring. Happy birthday, you've got a lot of wisdom for 30 years."

He then attached a handwritten note that read: "I am honoured that my silly smile in Terminator made you smile, but I hope you find real joy and strength in what a wonderful child you have brought into the world and raised." The actor then signed the letter with his name. Unsurprisingly, this effort brought tears to the eyes of not only bizzjay but to the rest of the Reddit community as well.

The fan responded, "I am completely overwhelmed! So many emotions going through right now!" The 30-year-old then profusely expressed his gratitude to the actor and added, "I really don't know what to say?! So I'll just say thank you. I will share this note with my father later after I get out of work and post it so you can see how much all your work, words and efforts do make a huge difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!" The Reddit user then went on to say, "Made me cried so much (of pure joy), we needed this. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart."
