Four days after Chris Brown arrived in the Philippines for a concert and the singer remains trapped in the country. While posting various versions of pleading to leave the Asian state were posted by the artist on social media, it appears that Rihanna's former flame will have to wait for a court order to get off the island.
Apparently growing desperate to finally leave the Philippines after being stuck there for days, Brown now turns to a higher power in an effort to seek ways to deal with the situation: God. In a recent Instagram post, the singer wrote, "That moment u wake up and realise who the [expletive] you are and how blessed you've been and finally understand you don't need anyone for anything except GOD!" He then went on to say, "Then u realise how much time you wasted on [expletive] and [expletive] people!" The post was featured in Inquirer, a national newspapers in the Philippines.
The issue involving Brown and his Canadian promoter, John Michael Pio Roda, came to light when the artist was barred from leaving the Philippine territory following complaints filed against him by the Iglesia Ni Cristo group, which actually dates way back to New Year's Eve, according to New York Daily News. The report disclosed that the 101-year-old religious group hired Brown to perform during the New Year countdown party at the Philippine Arena on Dec 31, 2014, which had at least 55,000 spectators. However, the artist failed to appear for the said event. Upon seeking an explanation for his absence, Brown's reps allegedly claimed that the singer lost his passport.
The complainants, the Maligaya Development Corporation, told the country's Department of Justice officials that the company paid both Brown and his promoter in full for a $1 million contract. While no official charges have been charged yet, the company is said to be consulting with the immigration officials in an effort to resolve the issue.
In the process of finding ways to fix the mess, Brown busied himself by uploading expletive-laden videos in his Instagram account, according to Rappler. In one clip, he said, ""Can somebody please tell me what the [expletive] is going on?" He then went on to say, "I don't know, I'm reading headlines after headlines, what the [expletive]!" Although the clip was filled with cursing, Brown appeared to be in good spirit as he was captured hanging out with his friends and laughing.
