Xbox Live Games

In an attempt to attract the attention of gamers, Microsoft teased their upcoming Xbox Live Games with Gold for April 2016 in a very intriguing way. A recent post on the Microsoft Twitter account indicated: "Three more games [M] are now free with #GamesWithGold. Next up: April blockbusters."

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the "Blockbuster" term could only mean that, Microsoft is actually planning on releasing free games with AAA titles. If it's true that Microsoft is indeed going for the triple A titles, this is a big milestone for the Xbox console and Live members as previously, Microsoft was only keen on releasing smaller and independent video games.

Currently, the games on the list for Xbox Live Games with Gold include "Lords of the Fallen," "Supreme Commander" and "Borderlands." With the latest teaser from Xbox, the next month could be the culmination of all the times Xbox Live members were given non-AAA games.

According to Gamespot, "Lords of the Fallen" for Xbox One will be available until April 15, accompanied by Sherlock Holmes: Crime and Punishments, which is only available all through the month of March. "Styx: Masters of Shadows" is also available this month for download.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not revealed the upcoming list of Xbox Live Games with Gold for April, or the exact date when they can be expected. Currently, some of the most downloaded games by fans include Rayman Legends, Killer Instinct, The Walking Dead, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War: Judgment, Halo Reach, Tomb Raider, DarkSiders II, IDARE, D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, Terraria and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise.

Meanwhile, Joining the hype of Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Live Games with Gold is the recent announcement of the Xbox One Cross Play on multiplayer network.

Xbox One games can now be played alongside PC gamers. Psyonix's "Rocket League" became the first game to launch on the newest feature of the Xbox One cross play.
