LG G4 Release Date & Specs: New Flagship to Feature 3k Resolution Display?

While the release of the LG G4 has now been pushed back to May 2015, several details regarding its basic components have already been leaked online. LG will reportedly push the upcoming device as one of its top-quality phones by integrating special designs and features.

In terms of its key specs and designs, the LG G4 will come with a 5.5-inch screen display that provides 554 ppi in terms of pixel density. As such, future users can expect extra bright and clear colors from the phone's display.

Last year, LG was the first to unveil a QHD resolution display with 2560 x 1440 pixels in smartphones for the LG G3. Now, the company is expected to use a 3K display for the upcoming LG G4 with a 2880 x 1620 resolution, adding it to the list of the first 3K smartphones.

Consumers can then enjoy a regular size screen, but with a higher number of pixels that will result to photos, text, videos and games with better quality.

The LG G4 will reportedly come in three different colors - black, white and gold - and will have its screen display as one of its best features.

The LG G4 may also come with a 1.5GHz processor or a 2.0 GHz quad core processor as well as 4GB of RAM. Two variants of the device will be made available and will differ in terms of storage options. One will reportedly have 32GB of storage and the other will offer 64GB. With micro-SD support, storage capacity can be expanded up to 128GB.

Leaked reports have pointed out that the LG G4 will come with a 16-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The rear camera may feature a couple of impressive capabilities, including optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, face detection and simultaneous capture of photos and videos.

In addition, the LG G4 will run on Android Lollipop 5.0 and come with a battery that has quick charging abilities, such as being able to charge up to 60% in at least 30 minutes.

All in all, the LG G4 is expected to come with an impressive build and boast excellent features that will undoubtedly wow its users, experts believe. LG has already made headlines this year as it unveiled the G Flex 2, a curvy smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon 810 processor.
