The OnePlus Two has some big shoes to fill, and hopefully it will become available to more people when it gets announced.
While there are still no official release dates for the Android 'flagship killer' successor, Cyanogen and OnePlus fans are already preparing for the device's announcement.
But according to a report by Phone Arena, the device may offer even more features to the market. In the report, the OnePlus Two will allegedly come with a full metal chassis, which means it will look more premium compared to last year's model.
However, the report also mentioned that the metal frame and possibly updated specs could mean a slightly more expensive price tag. Last year, the OnePlus One only cost $300 for its base model, and considering its specs similar to that of the Galaxy S5 and One M8 during that time, it is easy to predict that a lot of people would buy the device.
Unfortunately, the startup company messed up in the way it handled production, as well as sales. Instead of just selling the device to interested consumers, OnePlus made their buyers wait for a long time.
While the phone maker still managed to sell almost a million units of the OnePlus One, it is definitely way short of the phone's true potential.
As a result, the company will certainly try its best not to ruin the announcement, promotion and sales of its upcoming device - the OnePlus Two.
Based on the specs of current flagships today, the OnePlus Two could feature a Snapdragon 810 chipset as well, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and even a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution display.
Storage options should still be 16GB or 64GB, and the camera resolution could range from 16MP to 20MP - and that's with the help of optical image stabilization.
