Xiaomi will be holding an event on March 31, as stated by a new invitation from the Chinese manufacturer.

On that day, which is less than a week from now, some rumors are already claiming that the company would announce its own Xiaomi Watch.

According to a report from TechnoBuffalo, the company mentioned that it will announce and unveil a number of new products and devices. One of those new devices is the alleged Xiaomi Watch, which has been going around the rumor mill for some time now.

In previous reports, the Android-powered smartwatch will be circular in shape, similar to the Moto 360. It will also have a brushed metal build, and one that screams quality just like other Xiaomi devices.

Interestingly, the device will not feature Android Wear, Google's primary OS for wearable devices. Instead, the Chinese manufacturer will use its own MIUI in order to come up with a unique-looking and functioning device.

The report also mentioned that the rumored Xiaomi Watch would be 'packed with sensors', one of which is a pulse monitor which would be probably used for fitness-related apps and functions.

Aside from the Xiaomi's unknown wearable device, the report also stated that the Chinese brand may unveil the mysterious 'Ferrari' smartphone as well.

The Android-powered smartphone appeared in benchmarking website GFX Bench on Wednesday. This means the device has already run the GFX Bench test and it was listed on the site with its almost complete arsenal of specifications.

In the report and based on the leak, the Xiaomi 'Ferrari' would be powered by a Snapdragon 615 chipset that can support 64-bit applications, together with an octa-core 1.8GHz chipset. Also on board is 2GB RAM, Qualcomm's Adreno 405 for high quality graphics performance, and 12GB of internal memory.

Other specs include a 4.9-inch (or simply 5) display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 12MP primary camera, 5MP front shooter, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box.

The device, which was rumored to be in the 'midrange' category, is expected to get affordable price tag.

Xiaomi, China's most popular smartphone maker to date, will certainly be getting the world's attention by the end of month for its 'one more thing' event. With the way things are going for the phone maker, 2013 could definitely be another break out year for Xiaomi.

Last year, Xiaomi managed to sell more than 10 million units of the Xiaomi Mi3. The fact that it was not readily available in the international market is a testament that Android lovers really dig Xiaomi-made handsets.
