LG G4 Release Date and Features: LG’s Smartphone Set to Arrive on April 29, Camera Features Teased in New Video [Watch

LG confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the G4, will be released a day after its official launch.

This means consumers can expect to see the LG G4 in retail stores by April 29, according to Pocket Lint.

However, the release date only pertains to the G4's debut in South Korea. There are no official statements yet from the company as to when the smartphone will arrive in other countries.

Aside from being the first ones to get their hands on the LG G4, South Koreans will also receive other exclusive freebies from the tech giant. These include a free replacement for the device's screen as well as a new 64GB microSD card. This suggests that the memory of the LG G4 can be expanded, NDTV reported.

To promote the release of the G4, LG released another video to tease the smartphone's features.

For the clip, LG turned to professional photographer Colby Brown to show off the features of the G4's camera. Specifically, the video focused on the 16-megapixel rear camera's f/1.8 lens.

According to the video, the aperture of LG G4's camera minimizes the noise levels of images even when shooting in dark environments.

In addition, the camera is equipped with sensors capable of analyzing if a shot is being taken indoors or outside. This feature maintains the clearness of the image's colors. The LG G4 also has a manual mode to allow users to customize the settings of smartphone's camera.

Based on previous leaks, the LG G4 will have a bare plastic variant and a leather rear cover version. The device will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440x2560p resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processer and is expected to run using the Android-Lollipop based LG UX 4.0.

LG is set to unveil the G4 through a press event happening on April 28 in New York, Paris and London.
