It seems that all is already well between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, as the "Shake It Off' singer recently made an apology to the rapper for her tweet earlier this week.
Swift's apologetic post comes several days after Minaj slammed MTV for not bagging a nomination under the Best Video of The Year category for "Anaconda.'
"You couldn't go on social media without seeing people doing the cover art, choreo, outfits for Halloween," she wrote in one of her tweets.
"When other girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture, they get that nomination ... If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year," Minaj added.
Clearly, Swift took offense and immediately responded with a defensive tweet.
"@nickiminaj, I've done nothing but love and support you," the "Blank Space' singer wrote. "It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot."
Possibly after reflecting on their online feud, the country-singer-turned-pop-star said that she apologizes for her comeback, and that she misinterpreted the remarks of the "Super Bass' singer.
"I thought I was being called out," Swift wrote. "I missed the point. I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki."
Minaj read the tweet and offered her own response, letting the 25-year-old star know that she appreciates her effort to reach out and that everything is well between them.
"That means so much, Taylor. Thank you," Minaj wrote, while including three heart emojis at the end of her reply.
While the two music artists have finally settled their dispute, Katy Perry also took to social media to share her sentiments on the trending rants between Minaj and Swift.
Confirming that there is "Bad Blood' between them, Perry took to the microblogging site on Wednesday to tweet the following statement targeted towards Swift: "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman"¦"
Following the online feud, Minaj also clarified her opinion on the VMA nominations with a lengthy post; an excerpt from her note states the following:
"Nothing to do with any of the women, but everything to do with a system that doesn't credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others. We are huge trendsetters, not second class citizens that get thrown crumbs. This isn't anger. This is #information."
Meanwhile, other nominees for the coveted Video of the Year award include Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Mark Ronson and Kendrick Lamar.
The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Aug. 30, 2015.
