When "The Walking Dead' comes to a conclusion, fans should not believe that it is completely over for Daryl Dixon, Norman Reedus says.

The 46-year-old actor, who plays Daryl on the hit AMC series, was questioned on Twitter about the possibility of having a spinoff prequel that will feature the Dixon brothers.

Reedus previously joked about the possibility of a Daryl Dixon spinoff show.

"We were talking about having a spinoff and it's Daryl and Carol [Melissa McBride] living in Central Park, and all the squirrels are going missing so Bloomberg's putting out announcements that the squirrels are disappearing and we have sort of a [distillery] and tourist come by"¦ and we try to charge them money," the actor kidded.

At Fan Expo Vancouver, Michael Rooker, who took on the role of Merle, was also asked whether it was possible for a spinoff comic series starring his character and brother Daryl to materialize.

"If me and Norman had any more scenes than we already had in that series, it would already be the Merle and Daryl show," Rooker said.

Following the audience's yell of approval, the actor added, "Robert Kirkman has a lot of things on his plate, and I don't know if that thought has ever crossed his mind, but he's a busy camper, and I haven't talked to him about it."

The Dixon brothers are not currently part of showrunner Kirkman's "The Walking Dead' comic series, and the creation of their characters had been unique to the TV show.

With the return of the zombie drama series in October, there have been reports that Rooker was recently spotted on set, fueling speculations that a flashback scene involving the Dixon brothers will be shown.

Rooker, however, was not confirmed to have been wearing his traditional Merle costume, hence the possibility that the "Guardians of the Galaxy' actor could have just been paying a visit to his former co-stars.

As for Reedus, he has recently appeared in the post-apocalyptic movie, "Air,' which also features Djimon Hounsou.

The actor has also reportedly booked a new TV gig. As stated by Ashvegas, Reedus recently spent some time this month filming in Asheville, North Carolina. He seemed to be shooting "a new TV pilot that has him tooling about on his motorcycle."

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the possible flashback scene involving the Dixon brothers as AMC's "The Walking Dead' season six is set to premiere on Oct. 11.
