As "The Walking Dead' season 6 nears its premiere, fans are yet to know how the story turns out in the Alexandria Safe-Zone after last season's intense finale.

Actress Melissa McBride, who takes on the role of Carol on the AMC zombie drama, recently shared details about her character and what viewers can expect with the new installment.

"The conflicts that suddenly arose there [Alexandria] at the end of the finale in season 5, we're going to find out how people are relating to their different points of view, and seeing how the loss of Reg affected Deanna and her point of view, and the threat of the walkers," McBride said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Dropping hints about her character's storyline for "The Walking Dead' season six, the 50-year-old actress mentioned how the "unaware" Alexandrians will get to see her other side in the new episodes.

"I think when we get back there's going to be the Alexandrian Carol and then she's still got work to do. So we'll see her other side," McBride added.

The official summary for the new installment states that the safety and security Alexandria will be destroyed by more than one threat, and the well-kept community will now have to face a wide range of struggles.

To survive, the people of Alexandria will have to learn from Rick's people, including their toughness and adaptability. However, as the members adjust to such changes, conflict between these characters can be expected.

As stated by the synopsis for the first episode of "The Walking Dead' season six, "Rick and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart?"

Although the summary does not offer many details about the season six premiere episode, showrunner Scott M. Gimple previously revealed during his appearance in last month's episode of 'Talking Dead' that such episode will be a notable one because it will show the biggest number of walkers in the series' history.

When asked whether anyone would have been aware of the exact number for the most walkers in a "Walking Dead' episode," Gimple answered, "The guy who knows that number is currently breaking that number. That's Greg [Nicotero]."

During the interview, Nicotero - who took on directorial duties for "The Walking Dead' season six premiere - was working on the midseason premiere (episode nine). According to Gimple, the number of walkers on this episode is "pretty big, too."

"The Walking Dead' season six premieres with a special 90-minute episode on Oct. 11, at 9 p.m. on AMC.
