After the release of the latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer last week, more speculations have graced the headlines, centered on the possible plot twists that could happen in the movie as well as the fate of the characters.

Aside from space battles, the official "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' poster shows its characters and the different sizes they appear in, suggesting their relevance in the movie itself.

Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) along with a small C-3PO, R2D2 and the latest droid BB-8 are easily visible in the poster.

Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) seems to be absent in the image, unless he is hidden or disguised as one of the troopers, similar to what happened during his rescue mission for Princess Leia in "A New Hope.'

New characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) are highlighted on the poster, which suggests that they might have a more significant role this time than the original trio of Han, Luke and Leia. The mysteriously cloaked villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) takes the spotlight as well.

Also included in the poster's lower portion are Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).

Fans have begun to speculate that the well-loved Han Solo will meet his death in "The Force Awakens' and that Luke Skywalker, the only remaining Jedi, will cross over to the dark side. Others went even as far as the possibility that Luke will be a villain in the latest "Star Wars' movie, and is really the person behind the mask worn by Kylo Ren.

Moreover, there have also been rumors that a new family bond between lead female character Rey and Kylo Ren will be revealed, and are speculated to be sister and brother. They are even said to be the offspring of either Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia and Han Solo.

However, although it is possible that a link could exist between them, others have debunked the rumor that Luke is their father as Jedis are often single, except for Luke and Leia's father Anakin Skywalker, who chose to marry Senator Amidala in secret at the end of "Episode II.'

In addition, it has often been speculated that Han Solo, who had once been a smuggler, will be killed off at the end of "The Force Awakens.' After the full trailer was released, though, fans have turned to the possibility that it is not Ford's character but Chewbacca who will meet his demise.

Tech Insider came up with a report filled with several revelations from the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer. For instance, fans can look forward to Princess Leia and Han Solo getting married and having their well-deserved reunion. After separating himself from the dark side, the former Storm Trooper Finn will now join with the rebels. Although it remains unclear as to how he got his hands on it, Finn will acquire the light saber that previously belonged to Luke Skywalker.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 16, 2015.
