"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has stressed time and again that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will not involve characters from her beloved "Harry Potter" series, especially since it is set in a different time (1926) and place (New York City).

However, Entertainment Weekly has gotten a scoop that there would be one character who would be making a brief appearance in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," and he is none other than Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore.

"Down the road, Heyman hints, we shouldn't be surprised to see a familiar face or two. A line of dialogue in Fantastic Beasts' references a wizard you may have heard of - some guy named Dumbledore," they said.

Dumbledore actually wrote the introduction for Newt Scamander's textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," so it will be great to see why he was chosen by the zoologist to write that distinction.

In his biography, he also has a "lost period" between graduation from Hogwarts in 1899 and his professorship at the same school in 1938, so it would be interesting to explore that bit of history in the "Harry Potter" prequel.

Dumbledore will probably be in his 40s in the movie before he took up the position as Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts. He got in the same time as Professor Horace Slughorn, who handpicked Tom Riddle as one of his favorite students.

"Harry Potter" fans are extremely delighted with the news of seeing Dumbledore on the big screen again. On their social media pages, they expressed excitement over seeing a much younger Dumbledore (they are even hoping he'd be pretty good looking too!)

"Will say this again: What if they give us a young Dumbledore in FBaWtFT? A young, gorgeous, head-turning, jaw-dropping (expletive) of a guy?!" a Twitter user named Wolfgang mulled.

"With the prequel to Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts & where to find them to be released in 2016, fancy seeing a much younger Dumbledore," Joshua Bere wrote on Twitter.

Twitter user Teri added, "The important question is: are we going to see a younger Dumbledore in FBAWTFT."

Dumbledore met his demise in the sixth "Harry Potter" novel "Half-Blood Prince." He was killed by Professor Severus Snape upon his orders, in order to trick Voldemort that Snape's allegiance to him is not real. Their plan worked, but Voldemort killed Snape in the end too just to gain power over the Elder Wand.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be released on November 18, 2016.
