A series of fatal terror attacks in Jerusalem and central Israel left three people dead, and about 20 wounded in separate car ramming, stabbing, and shooting incidences, according to media reports.

On Wednesday, a 65-year-old woman was stabbed by a terrorist at Jerusalem's central bus station before she was about to board a bus. The driver opened the door so that the woman could board the bus, but closed the door before the terrorist could get in. She sat bleeding in the bus, before she was taken to a hospital.

The terrorist, identified as Ahmad Shaaban, then ran with a knife in one hand, and a cell phone in other. He was seen by an officer of Special Patrol Unit, who shot him.

Earlier in the day, the police confronted a man at Damascus Gate, who was suspected of carrying a weapon. He pulled a knife from under his clothes and tried to attack the personnel, but was killed by the police.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told The Jerusalem Post, "Police reacted immediately and fired at him," and he died minutes later.

A day before, a man identified as Ala Abu Jamal rammed a car belonging to the company where he worked, into a group of people waiting for a bus. Then he got out of the car and started stabbing the wounded people with a meat cleaver. A security guard shot him in the leg, but he kept standing up trying to attack the guard, but the onlookers restrained him till the security forces reached the scene.

Jamal had made fundamentalist statements on internet and pledged support for Islamic state, according to the Israel Security Agency.

The same day, two Jewish men were killed by knife attacks, while three others were seriously injured in separate knife and gun attacks on board an Egged bus in south-eastern Jerusalem.

Two terrorists ambushed the bus at a road intersection. One of them shot at the bus from outside, and the other got inside the bus and stabbed five people.

"One of the terrorists shot at passengers from the outside, while his accomplice entered the bus and stabbed five passengers, killing one. Our police units that arrived at the scene shot and killed one of the terrorists. The second terrorist was apprehended, and the four victims were taken to the hospital, where another victim later died," said Rosenfeld.

One of the terrorist was identified as Baha Alian, who was killed by the police, and the other (name not disclosed) was a Hamas operative who is under custody.
