Nexus 5 (First Generation)

New leaks regarding the Nexus device from LG revealed major details about the upcoming device.

According to various sources, the handset will be released this month with a retail price starting at $399.

As previously reported, Google is preparing to launch an updated version of its Nexus flagship device and has turned to LG and Huawei for the new models.

For the South Korean company, its upcoming device will serve as the 2nd generation version of 2013's Nexus 5. It will also be LG's third Nexus device for Google.

Huawei, on the other hand, has been reportedly tasked by Google to oversee the development of the 2015 variant of the Nexus 6, which was first released by Motorola in 2014.

According to NDTV, LG's Nexus 5 2015 will be reportedly called the Nexus 5X. It will be released on September 29 and will come in different internal storage variants. The basic version, or the 16GB model, will debut at $399. The more expensive version, which will feature 32GB of storage space, will cost $449.

Although these details are based on leaks and did not come from Google, they are surprisingly lower that the prices of LG's Google Nexus 5. When the device came out in 2013, the 16GB version was priced at around $430 while the 32GB model was tagged at $490.

As for the its specs, the LG Nexus 5X will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD display. It is also expected to feature a 13-megapixel primary camera and the Snapdragon 808 processor from Qualcomm. It will also pack 3GB of RAM will be one of the first devices to come with Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

A leaked image posted by Android Pit revealed that LG's Nexus handset will feature a fingerprint reader below the device's rear camera.

Unfortunately, the new details only apply to the South Korean company's upcoming device. It is still not clear how much Huawei's Nexus 6 2015 will cost once it debuts. But, since the device will feature a larger display at 5.7 inches, Huawei's creation could be more expensive than the LG Nexus 5X.

Also, the updated Nexus model from Huawei will also be unveiled on September 29 during the same event. Like the LG version, the Nexus 6 2015 will also run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform, Phone Arena reported.

Hopefully, more details regarding the upcoming devices will be released by their makers within the next few weeks.
