The '4/14 Window' mission movement, which Dr. Luis Bush launched in New York with Rev. Nam-Soo Kim, the senior pastor of Promise Church, in 2009, will be launched in South Korea as well in various regions to build up the next generation of Korean Christians.
The '4/14 Window' mission movement is one that focuses on restoring the gospel within the hearts of young children and youth from the ages of 4 to 14, and to raise up Christian leaders by building their character and spirituality.
In the past, Bush also coined the term, '10/40 Window,' referring to the region that is most impoverished and has the least exposure to the gospel. While the previous term was based on a geographic concept, the '4/14 Window' focuses on an age demographic.
Churches in Incheon, Bucheon, Goyang, and Anyang will be collaborating together to host the sixth annual 4/14 Window Conference in October 2016 at Songdo International Business District, a city near along Incheon's coast and connected to Incheon International Airport.
"We can't be assured that our chuch is going well, and we have to be able to see the bigger picture of God's kingdom," said Rev. Nam-Soo Kim.
"Churches all over the world from the 1900s to the 2000s have held missions conferences in various locations including Capetown, Brazil, Singapore, etc., but there has never been one that focuses solely on the children," he continued, and added that the church must focus efforts on building up the children before they become influenced by other ideologies in the world.
