Following the brand-new teaser unveiled last week, AMC has released another promo for "Fear the Walking Dead,' the upcoming "The Walking Dead' companion series, which features Kim Dickens' character Madison who has not yet come to believe of the dead coming back to life.

Days ago, AMC also unveiled a promo featuring Frank Dillane's character Nick as he is seen running away from an unknown force, which is most likely to be a zombie.

Described as having a parallel story to the network's hit series "The Walking Dead,' the upcoming show will shed light on the zombie apocalypse as it takes place; it will be a separate story from the first series that highlighted the world in which Rick Grimes woke up after a long coma.

Executive producer Robert Kirkman, who currently runs both programs on AMC, has confirmed that the new series will explain the events that occurred on the missing days of "The Walking Dead.'

"Everything that happens in "Fear The Walking Dead' is in the same universe as 'The Walking Dead,'" Kirkman explained. "So any rule that we find out and anything they see in the early days is definitely something that was happening in the past of the other show.'

As "Fear the Walking Dead' is expected to follow a different storyline as well as to have a major change in characters and locations, it will not be a prequel for "The Walking Dead.'

"These two shows are very intertwined in the same world, even if their characters aren't necessarily going to interact because of geographical distances," Kirkman further stated. ""¦Anything that you learn from "Fear the Walking Dead' will apply to the mythology of "The Walking Dead' and vice versa."

Aside from the dead rising, the new program will highlight personal issues, including family relationships, as the drama is expected to move the series forward into more seasons.

"What's intriguing to me is to take these problems, which I think would make for a compelling drama, and put them in this much larger canvas and see how they play out," showrunner David Erickson explained.

With the series set in Los Angeles, cast members who have been confirmed for the upcoming program include Frank Dillane ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'); Kim Dickens ("Sons of Anarchy', "Gone Girl'); Cliff Cutis ("Missing'); Alycia Debnam-Carey ("Into the Storm'); Mercedes Mason ("Quarantine 2: Terminal') and Elizabeth Rodriguez ("Orange is the New Black").
