Last May, "Arrow' wrapped up its third season with the episode titled "My Name Is Oliver Queen,' showing a brawl with Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins as well as a scene in which Oliver decides to retire from being Arrow and turn his back on his crime-avenging deeds as he drives off with Felicity into the sunset.

While the show's main hero finally proclaims that he is one happy individual, it remains a big question as to whether there will be changes in his character in the fourth season.

In an interview with TV Junkies, Stephen Amell opened up about "Arrow' remaining the same when it comes to its main storyline. However, the hit series will incorporate new elements as well.

"It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy...we get to see some characters interact that weren't always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you're doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show," the actor shared.

In a past interview during the CW's Upfront presentation, Amell also confirmed that he is done with wearing the Arrow suit.

"Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit. I've worn it for the last time," the actor said.

Aside from the lack of green suits, the official "Arrow' synopsis for the upcoming season poses more questions about the show's lead characters, stating: "Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver's crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al Ghul, is anyone really safe?"

Amell also became a subject of criticism after disguising the time jump between the third and fourth seasons, which he clarified later on.

"When I said there was a time jump people were like, "Oh my God really?' I didn't think that was very spoilery because the show has always followed chronologically when we air," the 34-year-old actor said. "Whenever we've taken a break and go off the air from May till October, when we leave it's May and when we come back it's October."

Furthermore, the "Flash' actor shared at the Wizard World Comic-Con in Philadelphia that his character might go through a transformation from being reserved and mysterious to the more light-hearted Green Arrow that is portrayed in the comics.

"Arrow' returns to the small screen for its fourth season on Oct. 7.
