Men were asked and they answered. The popular men's website, AskMen, just named Harry Potter actress and United Nation ambassadress Emma Watson as the World's Most Outstanding Woman of 2015.

Last year, the website came up with a list of the world's most desirable women but they said that they were "better than that" so they added some substance into their list and recognized women based on their achievements and vision.

The 2015 list of "women who are doing things that matter" was a mix of public voting and media influence. "This year, we're celebrating the beautiful, talented, glamorous and just plain kickass women who are defining the world we live in," the website said.

The list featured a lot of celebrities, singers, athletes, authors, political figures, and even charity workers. However, Watson led the cream of the crop and bested other names the likes of UFC fighter Ronda Rousey (#2), Kim Kardashian (#3), and Taylor Swift (#4).

"Hermione Granger is courageous, loyal and moral to a fault - she embodies the best of J.K. Rowling's wizarding world. So it's fitting that the little girl who was cast to play her back in 1999 would grow up to become a woman not so different from the fictional heroine she embodied," the website said.

Watson, only 24, has "noble pursuits" in her mind especially with her work for the UN's HeForShe campaign which promotes equal rights for women.

"Emma Watson is so many incredible things at once - rich, successful, famous, stylish, beautiful, intelligent, personable, kind," said James Bassil, AskMen Publisher. "And yet, rather than be content with a life of luxury, she's thrown her back into a serious social issue in an effort to shift the way our society treats women."

Watson is admired widely for her go-getter attitude. In fact, she was deemed as "bossy" back in her school days for insisting to direct school plays.

Now, the actress will be busy working on Disney's live action movie Beauty and the Beast which is slated for release on March 17, 2017. Watson nabbed the title role, and she will breathe to life the bookish and idealistic Belle alongside Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens as Beast.

The actress will also be working with Luke Evans, who played Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit series, Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in Disney's animated film Frozen, Harry Potter co-star Emma Thompson, Kevin Kline, and stage actress Audra McDonald.
